LeaderSHIFT is the collaboration of Darla Klein, an experienced business specialist and Maia Beatty, a skilled communication strategist.

Maia Beatty

My background:
- Communication Strategist since 1990, working with leaders and teams in the public and private sector across the United States, Canada, the U.K., Australia and the Dominican Republic to uncover and solve the interpersonal issues that lead to their biggest workplace headaches.
- Co-Active Coach who works with executives, managers, supervisors and members of teams so they can engage in the authentic conversations required to produce their highest results, both personally and for the organization. A graduate of the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) with certificates in Co-Active Coaching, Leadership and Business Development.
- Certified Master Trainer since 1999 with 25+ years of experience in training adults, including other trainers, in interpersonal skills, using learner-focused, performance-based methods.
- Training Designer skilled at translating workforce needs into training solutions. Author of over 50 original training programs since 1982, including 20 with my partner, Darla Klein.
- Graduate of Texas A&M University, Corpus Christi, with a BA in Psychology
- Vietnam-era Veteran of the U.S. Navy
- Certified Facilitator for Inscape Publishing DiSC/Indra and DDI Learning Systems
- Independent business owner since 1990

Darla Klein

My background:
- Organizational Change Agent experienced in leading organizational culture change since 1985, working with The Glidden Company (ICI Paints North America), Avery Dennison Materials Group North America, Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) Division of Safety and Hygiene and as an independent consultant since 2000.
- Workplace Health and Safety Expert with over 20 years experience that includes both the technical aspects, as a staff specialist, as well as the business and management issues, as a director with international responsibilities.
- Leadership Development Specialist working with groups across the United States, Canada, Mexico, the U.K. and Central and South America to develop the management and leadership skills needed to achieve sustainable business results.
- Strategic Planning Advisor adept at facilitating group processes like crafting vision, mission and values; establishing business goals and objectives and developing systems, structures, processes and procedures.
- Training Designer skilled at translating workforce needs into training solutions. Author of 35 original training programs since 1983, including 20 with my partner, Maia Beatty, with topics ranging from the technical application of health and safety to leadership development.
- Cum Laude Graduate of Bowling Green State University with a BS in Environmental Health.
